In 2008 VENU was slated to be the next big high-rise condo project in downtown Tampa. The stage was set, everything was ready for pre-sale, including the 5000 sq. ft. sales and model center. But as the market bubble burst so did the viability of the VENU project which ceased and the property eventually sold and is now the current site of the Tampa downtown Aloft hotel.
